The Grove of Phoenix Rising has been an active Wiccan community since its formation in 1982. We are dedicated to the ethical practice of Wicca and to teaching the Craft to all of our members. We welcome women and men who are seriously seeking a lifelong commitment to spiritual growth.
We practice celebratory rites to attune ourselves with the natural rhythm of life forces marked by the phases of the Moon and the Seasonal Quarters and Cross-Quarters.
We celebrate the eight Sabbats and lunar festivals, as well as holding regular Pagan classes and occasional workshops on topics of interest to Wiccans and Pagans in general.
Our tradition encourages each student towards an inner education from which the dormant arts of Witchcraft appear. Therefore, we only share and guide through a series of structured lessons, discussions, and rituals using the practice of Magick to help us accomplish our goals. Our definition of Magick is not supernatural (meaning something outside of Nature) but an understanding of psychological and environmental processes; it is a knowledge of how emotion, concentration, and will can affect changes in consciousness that in turn effect the world around us. |
